3rd ANNUAL HIGHLAND GAMES AT HARVEST MOON

ENTRY IS STILL AVAILABLE SEPT 15TH THROUGH GAME DAY- $40
EVENT INFORMATION:
The competition will consist of nine events: Open Stone, Braemar Stone, Heavy & Light Hammers, Heavy & Light Weight for Distance, Caber, Weight Over Bar, and Sheaf.
An additional optional strength event is in the works for the end of the competition- it will not be for NASGA scoring. An additional trophy will be awarded.*

Athletes must compete in all events to qualify for awards.

Registrations are non-refundable regardless of sickness or injury, and we throw rain or shine.

In individual events, ties will be broken by number 1st, 2nd, etc.. If still tied, Caber scores will determine placement.

The Athletic Director reserves the right to place athletes in the appropriate class depending on ability and age.

Only HMHG implements will be utilized for competition, except for Sheaf forks.

Sheaf starting height will be a minimum of 10ft.

Classes are limited to 10 Athletes in each group.

If by September 21st, we have fewer than 3 registrations for a given class, the competition slot for that class will be eliminated, and athletes will be combined with another class to throw with.

You will receive an email with the final information and a parking map one week before the event.

RULES:

Competition is conducted in accordance with the NASGA rules, and straight trigs will be used.

All Athletes MUST wear a shirt and kilt during competition. Undergarments must be worn.

No unsportsmanlike conduct will be tolerated, and you will be ejected from the games, and your scores will be voided.

Check-in time on October 5th is 8:30 am

Weigh-ins for lightweight athletes begin at 8:00 am

The athlete meeting will be held in the field at 9:00 am.

The Harvest Moon Festival, Forsyth Area Chamber of Commerce- HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT:
The individual/organization/business named in this form hereby agrees for itself, its successors and assignees to indemnify and hold harmless the Harvest Moon Festival, Forsyth Area Chamber of Commerce, the City of Forsyth, Taney County, or the Taney County Fair Board from all claims, lawsuits or any other action for personal injuries, including death, and damages to property, real or personal, caused by individual/organization/business, and/or acts or omissions of Harvest Moon/FACC/City of Forsyth/Taney County/TC Fair Board, arising out of your individual/organization/business involvement in the Harvest Moon Festival and Scottish Highland Games, from all judgments and costs incurred in relation to said claims and lawsuits, and from all expenses incurred in defending said claims and lawsuits.
The individual/organization/business named herein hereby releases Harvest Moon/FACC/City of Forsyth/Taney County/TC Fair Board, all Sponsors and Officials, including their agents and employees, from liability from any claim it might otherwise have for participating in the Harvest Moon Festival and Scottish Highland Games, including, but not limited to, any claim for personal injury or physical impairment or other claim of any type, arising out of participation or involvement in this event. The individual/organization/business named herein also agrees to indemnify and hold harmless those released above from any such claims, damages, losses, and expenses, including attorney's fees and all court costs.
All Attendees, Vendors, Guests, Volunteers, & Performers hereby acknowledge and agree that ANY PERSONAL PROPERTY brought to this event is done at your own risk. Harvest Moon and FACC do not and will not assume any responsibility whatsoever for the loss or damage of ANY PERSONAL PROPERTY of any kind under any circumstances.
PUBLICITY RELEASE: The undersigned hereby gives consent to the Harvest Moon Festival and assignees to take photographs, make audio recordings and/or videos of myself and/or my organization at the Harvest Moon Festival and Scottish Highland Games and to use such photographs and/or videos or myself and/or my organization for such promotion, publicity and other lawful purposes as the Harvest Moon Festival and Scottish Highland Games deems appropriate. I/we further waive any rights or claims as to content approval, remunerations, or damages that I/we may have for those reproductions.
SAFETY AND SITE RULES/POLICIES
1. NO firearms, drugs, or alcoholic beverages from outside are permitted at the Festival site, Shoals Bend Park.
2. NO vehicles are allowed on the field for any reason.
3. No animals/pets allowed in the competition area. Service animals are exempt.
4. ALL entrants must check in at the Scottish Highland Games tent.
